Really fun facts there Eseyo.

However, NES still reigns supreme over an other system to date. Back in those days people had far less disposable income and the government wasn't going around handing people free checks to buy such items. So taking that into account, I'd say the original was far more of a genre icon than the newer Wii. Same with the Original Gameboy.

Cool stuff.

I knew about ten of the above. But yeah, cool stuff indeed.

Isn't Jumpman considered to be the same as Mario? There was a DK cereal IIRC, yet it is apparently not counted above. Either that, or it wasn't considered a "ridiculous" cereal.

You're right. There was definitely a DK cereal. I think it's pretty gosh darn ridiculous. DK cereal? Obsurd!

Though, Jumpman is Mario's father. Pauline (Lady) is his mother. Due to the kill screen, there is a deleted ending to the game where they get married and move into a nice home. They had twins. The rest is history. ;)

They did a lot of research for this, but obviously not up to par for the Nintendo fanboy. Shame on them.

Am I the only who ever ate that cereal as a kid? Taste highly resembled the yellow parts of Cap-n Crunch.

Yeah, Cap-n Crunch "barrels".

If I remember correctly, Pac-Man cereal was pretty much Lucky Charms with marshmallow ghosts.

I'm not 100% sure, but the Mario/Zelda cereals gave me green poop.

LOL! Thanks for the good laugh.

That was some good info and I didn;t realize the NES did that well.

Here's some interesting picture of an old Nintendo EM game I pick up a few years back (for a buck). Sorry for the poor picture quality, this was before digital cameras. Check out the endless film loop. Did you know Nintendo made such games?

As someone who has purchased everyone of these nintendo items (the NES was for me after a bad promition incident) I woud say the game boy sucked ass.

Yep,that's DK cereal was basically Cap'n Crunch. The Pac-Man cereal was the shit...a kid's dream..tons of marshmellows,(especially when they added the Super Pac marshmellows)....and just enough "pellets" or corn puffs for the parents not to think it was a total shit cereal.
The nintendo cereal was pretty average...all show and not much else. And dang it Hyde, get you a NES already! No need to wait for a price drop anymore,it's about as bottomed out as it's gonna get. :D

The Wii is cool...but the NES is king! And I didn't think NES games were THAT hard.I think whoever made those facts must have played Ghosts N' Goblins all the time.

Not to mention the increased size of the worlds population. Nintendo NES is still the champion in my book considering!
