I acquired a Nintendo Dual Vs. upright and have a few questions (maybe more) before I power this thing up.

1.) I have two PCBs with corroded battery holders. In fact, given the date, I wouldn't be surprised if the batteries themselves are original! Board doesn't seem to be damaged, but where can I acquire two battery holders?

2.) I have 5 ROM sets which I *think* are complete -- Super Mario Bros, Golf, Baseball, Hogan's Alley (seems stupid since there are no guns) and Top Gun. I noticed that a few legs on the ROMs seem warped. They may load fine, but in case there's an issue, is there somewhere to get a replacement ROM legally burned to replace a bad chip?

3.) On each game set, one of the chips has a metal bracket holder on top of the chip with the game name printed on it. On 3 of these games, that metal holder has lifted off the PCB. What sort of glue is the best way to reattach it without risking damage to the chip itself?

4.) What is the easiest way to remove one/both of the control panels? (I do not have any manuals). I ask this because some of the buttons could use some cleaning/lubriaction.

5.) Where can I acquire other game chipsets or daughter boards? Most of the ones I have (besides SMB) don't interest me. I'd like to acquire gradius, castlevania, and a couple others.

Thanks in advance!

Radio Shack has them, or a local electronics shop if you have one

the legs bent aren't a huge issue, just carefully bend them back. If you want new roms, there are a few guys here who burn roms. Steph and lilman do it

The metal pieces are just heat sinks, not 100% necessary, if you want to replace them, just look for a thermal compound glue. Never really needed to use one, so I can't really recommend one

4.) What is the easiest way to remove one/both of the control panels? (I do not have any manuals). I ask this because some of the buttons could use some cleaning/lubriaction.

Pretty easy, there should be metal clips under the CP. You can get to them through the coin door, or from the back, under the monitor.

To clean the buttons, you can just take them apart and clean with soap and water

5.) Where can I acquire other game chipsets or daughter boards? Most of the ones I have (besides SMB) don't interest me. I'd like to acquire gradius, castlevania, and a couple others.

Just post a FS/FT ad in the sale section. People around here are swapping games all the time. Just make sure you specify if you want original roms or don't mind burned ones

Hope these are good enough answers.
