Nintendo DK3 Pic upside down

Are your dips set correctly? My DK did the same thing, cause it was set in cocktail mode. Dont know if DK3 is the same as DK though?

are you using a sanyo 20EZ monitor or the Sony I believe it is that came in the original Nintendo cabs? If not I believe that is your problem. Nintendo boards display their images upside down in comparison to most other boards. The issue is corrected in the monitors that nintendo used.

It is a nintendo monitor. dont see any wires to flip.

Its the video plug on the EZ20 chassis.. you have to cut the plug and flip it...

If you can wait a bit.. I'll get a picture.. I had to do it to mine.. with advise from here.. and of course I can't find the directions I swore I saved.. but the picture will explain it..

you 'can' flip the plug wrong and ruin stuff.. so I wont try to guess at what color wires...

Please get me the pic if you don't mind.

Thanks

See the 4 wire plug to the upper left of the fly? you have to cut the plug to split it in two...

and then turn the plugs around so the wires are in this order

from left to right.. yellow, green, red, blue...

picture uploading now... stand by for the picture before doing anything.. and if your wires are already like this.. then flip them back..

You can see in the picture where I cut the plug on the left side of the yellow wire.. that was turned around to mate w/ the right side of the blue..

just DONT put the yellow/green onto the red/blue pins...

anyways.. mine was upside down, did this as you see, and perfect now

just like on bobs site no?

yeah.. but on my first one.. I didn't understand the verbage , or too comfortable trying, till Mod explained it in plain speak... and nothing like seeing it on the same monitor... (now watch him blow his monitor.. should I have told him I am on heavy medication to fit in w/ society first?)

Prob too late since you already hacked the yoke wires, but DK/DKJr have some split pads near the 10-pin power connector to flip the screen, and I'd suspect that DK3 has the same.
(Although it doens't have the inverted/non-inverted video split pads, since you can invert the colors by changing the high bit on the color proms).

Always funny to see people like Braze posting tech info without crediting the original authors.
