what did i miss. this thing looked fine except the left side was cut off and dim, I put the 25 pc bob roberts delux kit in it today, and now I have a double image with major keystone problems. I did re adjust the H hold and V hold and this is the best i can get the picture.

Looks to me that your H Hold is off. Verify that the H Hold pot is still good.
Thats the pot in the Rt center(from the back of the machine) on the chassis, correct?? near C472?

if so it is seems to be working fine. I can totally loose sync on high and low and then bring it back in the middle.

VR451 just up and to the left of the HOT

Yep thats the one,Hot is just north of the fly black on the back right corner. if I can loose sync by turning it down and get it back turning it back up, then loose it again, then get it back again turning it back down...

Sounds like the pot it good to me, would you agree???

I know its a crappy cell phone pic but the screen looks about perfect now.

I do get a little screen jump/jitters when the stomp sound is played, would you think re cap the audio amp???

Usually that is caused by a failing volume pot, or bad solder joints on the volume pot.

It is always a good practice to do the sound section on one of these when you recap the monitor.

Thank you for the info. I have the caps to do it and will redo the pot. I'm not a newb but I am an new guy to Nintendo's About 2-3 mouths ago I Picked up my first one. now I have 4. I am still just starting understanding these heavy beasts. With the inverted video and audio amps in the monitors. well...... there just different thats all.

Let us know if the pot fixes it. I get some physical shake in the cabinet from my DK because of the bass (usually the final stomp on the intro.) It's actually pretty cool. I'm going to make a track out of the analog sounds if I can figure out a way to record strait from the board.

here are the sound files for ya

I'm sure you could easily tap into the pcb or just before the sound amp, make an adapter to 1/8" mic jack, and record with any old analog tape recorder or any computer recording software through the mic jack or line in on you computer.

If for some reason you really need an XLR input there are adapters out there from 1/4" to xlr that change the impedance or something to make it compatible

Thanks. I've got all the recording gear. I just need to figure out how to tap into the wiring on the board. I'll check the schematics and see if I can figure it out.
