ok guys, im not a big nintendo collector but am confused and don't understand what pcbs go with what and what cab is called what! please help out.

what goes into a dual monitor cab(like cyberball cabs)? are they always Vs pcbs?

are Vs pcbs only in this dual monitor cab(huge) and rent tent?

i think the PC10 pcbs are two different pcbs, one for single and one for dual monitor(like punchout cabs)???

i have a chance to buy a "cyberball style" nintendo cab but has two game installed in it now, SMB and Gradius. is this a Vs pcb? really would like to play diff games escpecially head to head like RBI.

sorry getting confused on these........so pls clear me up!!!

The "cyberball type cabs" were for Vs PCBs. Once PCB can play 2 games at the same time. Nintendo sold a Playchoice Kit for these cabs that allowed a Playchoice on one side and used the same VS PCB for the other side. This kit uses the Single Monitor Playchoice PCB.

i believe, i know, i have one of those multi switchers but not sure if its for nintendo...bought it a couple yrs ago and think its for 4 jammas. i also have that double jamma one from Mikes Arcade??? i don't know if i have the jamma adapters though for nintendo. would love to figure away to play a shitload a games on this!!!

are these on this link similar or better/worse than Vectorlabs versions of stuff? he lives closeby and see Mike every so often.

thanks!

ok gotcha, but the Vs pcbs can be 2 individual games on 2 diff monitors....or 1 game, player "Vs" player on 2 diff monitors, correct?

if that's right, i really can't think of any other games that would be good with the "Vs" portion except RBI.....are there others that im not thinking of that are great heads up?

The switcher won't do you any good in a Duel system cab like the Red Tent or the side by side upright both of these use both sides of a vs mother board the switcher is made for Unisystem cabs they only offer one game and only have one monitor. The head to head games for duelsystems are Vs. Baseball, Vs. Balloon Fight, Vs. Wrecking Crew, and Vs. Mahjang. To play these head to head you will need a fully populated game board ie 2CPUs, 2PPUs, and 2 sets of game roms.

Depends on the game.

Game preference depends on the individual.

Vector Labs....

I would suggest get in touch with Mike and go have a looksee in person :)

I can't speak of the performance of other multi Nintendo options, and just recently getting to setup my own Vector Labs version.

The DK series multi is pricey any way you break it down. If you were to go the Jamma switcher (2in1, 4in1, 6in1 or 8in1) you have the initial cost of that jamma switcher, then cost of Nintendo to jamma adapters, power supply, need to wire the jamma into the DK cabinet CP harness and inverted video. The Vector Labs version allows for you to use existing harness in the cabinet and power supply, but still requires adapters for each board to be used with the switcher. I need to update the thread doing a cost comparison, but I believe the Vector Labs is the least expensive option and requires the least modification to and original DK style cabinet.

The other big benefit for your possible dual screen version could allow for lots of Vs. & PC10 options to work with :)

RBI Baseball is not a head to head game it only uses one side of a duel system.

ahh, im getting RBI mixed with Vs baseball i believe! klov doesn't have a video of Vs baseball that i can check out....maybe John does!

that sux...i coulda swore i played against someone heads up across from each other like cyberball does! i guess not.
