It was textured but it's hard to duplicate that particular texture.
Some use spray on bedliner then put satin or semi gloss over it.
Others use the Hammered finish paint,but I don't like it.
If the is no damage and just needs fresh paint then I just clean it up and spray semi or satin paint right over the original finish.
I did this with a Williams door and it looks original.
both the top and bottom corner were kinda pulled out and the jam is quite waviy from many break in's it was always rusty and had a holde drilled in it for a free play button
I've been trying to get a smooth coat on it then rlealized today mayb it doesn't need to be smooth!
Its a piece of crap but there doesn't seem to be an abundance of spares so I'm trying to fix it
Its pretty much straight now I fixed the holes just trying to skim some bondo over it to get it smooth
Its look nice with primer them I use the stain and all the flaw show up.....
I have spent way too much time on this door... but I guess thats why its a Hobby!
