Whoever designed where the bolts go should be seriously bitch slapped or something. The clearance on the bottom bolts with the shelf in the way is not the easiest task to accomplish, even with a multitude of tools at your disposal.

That is all. /Rant over.

I hear ya. I was swapping out a Nintendo coin door with a nicer one, and with those bolts it was like a 40 minute process.

That is one of the worst parts to deal with when restoring Nintendo cabs, but worth it in the end. It's great to have a clean repainted coin door with new face plates. So nice.

I can finally chime in, now owning 2 Nin cabs. Yes. Horrible design. But quirky and weird. So... Kinda cool. But P.I.T.A. nonetheless.

We need a bud light "men of genius" song in reference to the engineer that designed these.

Bud Light Presents...REAL MEN OF GENIIIUS!!! Today we salute you Mr. Nintendo Coin Door Designer Guy for creating a challenging part that takes patience and skill to remove and install. THOSE LITTLE NUTS!!! Because without you, there would be no challenges for real men to overcome that will get their thirst going. DANG THIS COIN BOX SHELF! So crack open a bud light, O Emperor of Coin Doors, because you'll be loved and hated for decades to come. MR. NINTENDO COIN DOOR DESIGNER GUY!!!

Very well done! I like it!

I used glue to keep the bottom bolts in place when I put mine back on. I gave up. Other than the coin doors I think Nintendo cabinets are great, except for the particle board ones.

real men of genius dont drink light anything, and especially not that shitty budweiser swill. bud light is for college kids and women.

Easy

They are easy. Take the coin box out and use a long extension or leave it in and use a ratchet wrench for the 2 hard ones. No big deal. What sucks is after you get the bolts out. They seem to be glued in. (not really) But it is hard to get the bolts out before you can pull the door out.
