Any tips on how best to remove the piece circled in the pic below (wood piece that runs from bottom of the marquee to the back of the cab):
picture.php

(random nintendo cab pic found using google. Not my cab)

It is mostly stapled and glued on. I'm trying to break it loose with as little damage as possible. I'm having trouble getting a hammer in from the back (avoiding taking off the piece with the vents) since only my hand and part of my arm will fit in the opening, and I can't get much force using the hammer as a result.

Why remove it unless it's damaged.
It doesn't need to be removed to restore the cab.

I forgot to mention the why. :)

On one side of the cab the joint is loose/separated. From what I can tell the screws on the inside have sort of pushed out or need to be retightened. It looks like the only way to access that particualar spot is to remove that piece I mention in my first post.

I'd post pics to show what I mean, but I don't have access to my computer that has the pics on it for a couple days. :(

good luck getting it out. I tried to get that back piece (with the vents) out of my DK cab to fix some stuff and the top started delaminating so I just hammered it back into place and left it.
