Nintendo cabaret cabinets are more comfortable to play than a UR

At least I know it is for me, I am 6'1" and I have to hunch to play my full size upright DK Jr, but I can stand comfortably with my DK cabaret.

I think I need to build a platform for the Junior.

Yeah I think that's because the CP sits slightly higher than the standard Nintendo cab, while the monitor slants back so you can look down to see it rather than having to stand back and slouch. You also don't have to have the marquee blasting you right in the eyes. I agree, the design is much more comfortable.

I have been thinking about adding leg levelers to my full size like you did to your cabaret, that way I can mount casters like I do with almost all my cabinets. That gives me that extra height that I need:

I knew at an early age that this would eventually be a problem. I quickly decided to start a diet of smoking and drinking at an early age which seems to have taken care of any future height problems.

I'm 6' 4" tall, and most games are hard for me to play without sitting on a stool. Midway games are difficult for me to play to because the marquee is right in my face. I much prefer playing Pac-Man games on my cabaret than on an upright. I am building a Nintendo cabaret right now too, and I noticed that the CP will be much higher than the full-size machine. The upright is just hard for me to play. I can't wait to finish the mini and get it in the basement!

Uh... You have to be "this tall: ______" to comment in this thread.
Sorry kid.
;)

I love my DK mini and once had an upright to go with it. When it came down to selling one, I chose to keep the mini at least partly because it was running all original hardware compared to the upright I bought empty and wired with JAMMA.
