Has anyone fit a horizontal K4901 vertically into a nintendo cabinet? I am guessing I may need to vertical frame? I tried to put it in the cabinet last night but of course the frame sticks out too far, as I have read about other monitors in these cabs.

So my question... Can I cut the frame? Will this hurt anything? If I can't cut the frame, the only thing else I can do at this point would be put the sanyo from my Mario into my DK and then put the K4901 into my Mario as I think it would fit horizontally in my Widebody with an inverter board of course...

Any suggestions? I would love to just get a sanyo, but I don't have the cash to buy one right now and this k4901 looks great and isn't being used for anything.

I'd do the Mario Swap myself. Hell, what am I saying. I'd get another Sanyo and keep the 4900 for something else down the line.

You can't sell the 4900? I'd bet you could probably get $50-75 for it, and that's about what a Sanyo will run you, if you can find one. Too bad you're not near me, I know someone who has a garage FULL of about a dozen freshly recapped Sanyo monitors...

There is a KLOVer around me too with sanyos but the price he wants is a little too much for me.

I would sell the k4901 but it has a cracked neck board someone repaired, it works fine and I just recapped it but that doesnt help my sale price for it lol

There is a guy in VA too selling one right now for $100. I would love to try and get it, but he is 5 hours from me.... Not worth it for just a monitor IMO
