I have owned a few nintendo games in my time collecting. Nearly, but not all, have had the bezel lift bracket at the bottom on backwards from the factory. Like this pic:

This got me thinking maybe I am wrong. I turn them all around so the little ledge is in front, making it possible for me to lift the bezel out from the front. Could it be "factory correct" to have them on the original way or was it just inconsistency with factory workers? What say you?

:p

I suspect some ops probably flipped it around to prevent would be vandals from lifting it up to try and pry into the cabinet.

All of them I've owned have been 'lip out'

I have never had one with the lip to the back of the bezel.
The lip is there to make it easier to lift the bezel up to remove it.

My last Dk was like that.. Look like it had been on there forever.. I turned it around...

Just did the same on my new (to me) DK. Left a tiny mark of damage in the orange. I successfully turned it around on my Popeye and Jr. with no damage.

There was a DK about a mile from my house back in 81 that had the bezel lock clamp not in the locked position, it was easy to lift and slide the bezel back then sneak an arm down the front and trip the coin switch adding credits...I got really good fast at DK that year.;)
