No. He wants the security bits. Like these...

He wants the one on the left...the one on the right is 3.8 mm.

Here is a link to one on eBay that is $5.95 with FREE shipping. That's probably as good as you can get...

Yeah, I did a pretty exhaustive search for them a few months back when working on opening up a VS gun. $6 is about as cheap as you're gonna find them.

From all the discussions I've read on Nintendo Age: you want the steel ones.

Typically you can tell the difference by the color. The steel are silver, and the others are... well... not.

I have the other kind, and have used them several times over the last few years, so they work for light duty. I hear, if you want them to really last, buy the steel.

One suggestion, use them with a handle. Most of the time you can get stuff out without having a good grip, just using the bit and fingers, but it is a lot easier to use them with a handle. They slip off the screws very easily, and a handle helps to keep them straight, and on the screws.

Eh if you need one cheap enough just make one. Use some plastic or like a bic pen light it and jam it onto the screw head to make a mold. Good enough for a few uses.

I have the non-steel version and have opened well I'd say 150+ games or accessories and as long as you are careful they'll last long enough.

Edited to add, when I say light it I mean on fire. Warm it up get the plastic soft enough.

I have done that and by the time I get 2 screws out its worn down and I have to light it again to use it 2 more times before it messes up and gets to short to use anymore

I have around 30 sets of these security bits, I have sold hundreds of them on eBay when I had my store up and running. They are the darker colored ones, but I have used the same pair for 2 years with no problems. If you'd like a pair, I would send them to you for $4 shipped in the US.

thanks for the offer but I found a screw driver at harbor freight for $1.49
