NINT VS unisytstem SMB screen goes blank (arcade newb)

I deal mostly with pinball, but I have a nintendo VS with a Super Mario Bros card in there. I got the save/attract chip, which rules, but lately the screen goes blank often. Game still works blind.

My issue is that the screen goes blank every now and then. Shutting it off for a bit does help sometimes. I actually do the wire wiggle every now and then while powered off and it seems to help.

I got a new board from a fellow KLOVer and it is all good. I have bypassed the interconnect cables and put the main connectors right to the board, which solved the prob for months.

I am pretty much clueless and am pretty much just asking for suggestions on what it might be or links to a guide I can go through. I am doubting it is the board because it looks golden.

I will reply with pics

Thanks

back of cab. I have since connected the connectors straight to the board bypassing the plate.

just a simple link would be great. I did search a bunch, but mostly for nintendo, unisystem, and so terms.

I am pretty lost when it comes down to arcades.

That is interesting, but it works fine without the 2nd side populated. Jhons arcade wonders why as well. Guessing I will check the power supply.
