I recently picked up a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and am trying to get it fully operational. Everything is good now except some lamp issues. Twelve of the G.I. lamps are not working, as is one controlled lamp and all three pop bumper lamps. All of the flashers work, all the backbox lights work, everything else is good etc.
I checked the fuses and they are all good. Nothing seems to be amiss with the wiring on first inspection. The shematics say 4M/F6 for the G.I. lamps but I'm not sure what this is referring to. There are 3 diagnostic LED's on the CPU board and the first two remain lit when the game is on but not the third (PIA). The manual helpfully says nothing about the LED's so I don't know what is normal. I tried testing Q8 - Q10 (by manually grounding them) for the pop bumper lights but only their pop function activated, not the light.
Can anyone try to steer me in the right direction? This is my first Data East. Thanks
edit: Did some digging online...looks like GI problems are pretty common, and usually a result of burnt connectors. What a gigantic pain in the ass if this is the case...
