Hello,
I have a Bally Night Rider SS version.
The playfield and black glass light up but nothing else happens and the score displays are dark.
The lights on the cop car do blink though.
According to the manual the LED on the MPU board should flash 7 times on power up to indicate the MPU board is ok.
The board has had corrosion damage from the battery and someone has wired in an external battery and repaired some of the damage. I have ordered a corrosion repair kit for this machine but not received it yet.
I do have a solid 5volts and 12volts on MPU board.
Anyone know of anything else I can check while I'm waiting on the rebuild kit.
The corrosion damage does not look as bad as most boards I have seen pictures of and I have checked most components and traces in the affeced area.

Thanks for any help.

Knowing how many flashes you *do* get would be a good start. If it's stuck on solid, you may still be dealing with acid-related damage. Take a close look at the socket for the 5101, and the lower PIA, as well as the traces in that area - easy for a grounding trace to get eaten away, or those sockets to be affected.

Thanks guys.
Alot of good info there.
Sprout.I get no flashes. The LED is usually off but I have had it power up wih the LED on solid a few times.I do get a flicker if I press the service switch inside the coin door it just blinks on and then back off one time.

Thanks
