I've got a Nieman 27" monitor. It's the tri mode still being sold on the page.

When plugged in, it's making a clicking noise like it's trying to build voltage. No signal input makes it come on, at all. I've tried different resolutions, adjusting the frequency switch, and nothing.

I've also hooked it into a source that I know works, and still get no type of picture.
Any ideas? Anyone else have this monitor?

I thought he was out of the tube monitors -- looks like he's maybe selling them again? That would be fantastic if so...

I'll try again... I've called a few times and left messages. I've also emailed 3 times
12/15/11, 1/7/12, 10/1/12... so you can see I have just been sitting the monitor to the side and moving along. :)

Not blasting/talking negative, I just haven't had any luck in getting in contact with him. I really would like to get this new-ish monitor up and going.

Perhaps I'll try to call/email again now..

I would.

His support is excellent and he's a super nice guy. Try early mid afternoon if you haven't already.

It probably needs some new caps in the power supply
or a full cap kit.

The Mak vision Tri 3125 is just like Ricks Tri mode
and the 3m25 or m3125
Check for repair logs or tips on these chassis
Check the schematics for voltage test points
at ricks or happs website.
Good Luck!

I have a 3m25 doing the same thing....clicking noise and nothing else.

Would be nice to find a fix for this one. The monitor looks brand new.

3m25 is different then the other
it maybe one of Mak vision first Generation Tri mode.

Check any voltages?
Smps maybe be shuting down because
a short somewhere on the output.
Inspect chassis for any bad connection?
May need a cap kit if never changed before.
Hot test good? any shorts on the B+
Flyback look good?
