Nickel drop game "traffic signal" game - anyone else remember it?
So back in the late 70's or early 80's our skating rink had a small game that hung on the wall. It was probably just like a 1 foot square or something. I don't really remember how big it was.
But you put a nickel (maybe other coins worked too?) into the slot and press a button and it would hold the coin there. Then it had a traffic signal that would change from red to yellow to green but the timing was varied.
When it turned green it would release the coin and you had to press a button as fast as you could to try to catch it. If you caught it you got it back. But if you didn't then they made a nickel.
I think I've asked about this before but nobody else seems to know what I'm talking about. I have never seen one since or heard anyone else mention one.
Does anyone else remember these things?
