Thought I'd share my latest CL pickup. Not too excited about early SS pins but this one was too nice to pass up for the price ($250). Needs some clean-up and the MPU was of course non-working because the damn battery puked all over so I threw in my Lost World MPU just to test it. One of the nice things about it was the back glass is almost mint with a few small scratches and has the "Special Dagger" on it.

That machine has 2 backglasses and one is rare. Her knife is suppose to have something written on but I cannot remember what it was

Looks great, buy a replacement cpu for like 200 and for 450 you will have a nice looking playing machine.

I am not a huge fan of games with chimes but this one is cool looking.

Nice. Is that the one that was in Kalkaska? Been thinking about calling on that one for a couple weeks now but with just picking up Taxi a couple weeks back I'm really out of room for the time being.

No, it was in Roseville about 10 min from my house. It was listed as a broken pinball machine with no description.

"The game is famous for its backglass and depiction of Margretha Zelle, an exotic dancer who was executed as a spy during WWI. There are two versions of the backglass. In the more popular version, the dagger has the inscription "Meine Ehre heisst Treue" (German, "My honor is loyalty"). This inscription was the motto of the Waffen SS troops in WWII and was adapted from a statement made by Hitler in 1931. Thus, it has no real connection to Margretha Zelle. Contrary to popular belief, the version with the inscription on the dagger is NOT more rare than the one without. There were about equal numbers of backglasses made each way."

That is it. Good pin either way.
