Nice hissing sound from the monitor when I moved it

So... I moved a game from the basement to the garage. That part when well, I took the monitor out to lighten the load and that part when well. I even got the monitor up and had it in the garage with the game for a few weeks...

So today I decided to put the monitor in the game, when I went to do this.. the cord was stuck so I pulled the monitor and set it on the ground. When I did this... the monitor started hissing... So, I'm assuming that I some how cracked the tube and that was the air rushing in? I have not powered it up to test the theory. So... I guess I'm looking for next steps... should I just plug it in and see what happens? (I am thinking not) If the tube is indeed cracked where can I get another one, and how hard is it to replace?

Thanks again!

Yep, it is broken. Do not plug in the monitor. Just disconnect the power cord from the monitor and remove the chassis. You may need to discharge the 2nd anode from the tube before removing it. Post a WTB in the wanted section of the forums. Sorry. It is a sickening sound isn't it?

Yes it is! It really sucks... anyone in NW Indiana/Chicago are know how to do this? I never have and do not really have the time right now... anyone have any interest?

what kind/size of monitor is it? you might be able to pickup a cheap tube/yoke assy from another klover cheap and there you go plug n play
