I got a Frogger from CL last week. It was an odd cabinet that was actually a converted Super Moon Cresta. Looks like it was a factory kit. It uses the "Galaxian" style PCB. I had to remove the AC-DC circuits and put in a power supply, but now it works great! Whatever Op did the conversion used laminate on the sides, then put on the sideart. The art is in great shape, but he messed up the control panel overlay. DO NOT apply a new overlay over black spray paint that is over old adhesive!!!!! Peeled like a bad sunburn!

Here's a pic of the cabinet when I got it. I wrote up a post on my site covering the repairs I made to it so far..

I also picked up a Grayhound Skill Crane from CL from a different seller. It worked great, and just needed a good cleaning. I will probably do some cabinet repair and paint it. I don't really care about keeping this thing 100% original. Anyone ever get a custom marquee made for one of these? I like the way the small bulbs shine through the transparent marquee, and thought it would be cool to make a "Jeff's Classic Arcade" marquee. Might be fun. This purchase made my girls happy! They've begged for a crane game for years! Every time I bought a new game, they would ask "did you get a crane game?"

That crane is cool. I want to pick one of those up and set it up in my house with a bunch of neat toys. That way when my kids get old enough for an allowance, they can feed the money back into my pocket on the crane machine

Figure it will be a good lesson about the pitfalls of redemption machines and i'll save a nickel at the same time. ;)

I'd like to have a crane game just to store all of the stuffed animals my wife and kid have accumulated over the years. When my daughter wasn't looking, I would simply chuck the ones she has 'won' back in the machine. :D

That's exactly what we did to fill it up. We have tons of stuffed animals. Just took all the medium sized ones and put them in. The kids now play more with those animals than they ever did! We're eventually going to pick some up somewhere, and add ones we don't want to keep any longer. That way when kids come over for parties or whatever, they can keep what they win. I saw ebay had webkinz without tags starting at about $1 each. Not a bad way to fill up a machine with really nice, non-cheesy animals. The tags are why those stupid things cost $15!
