DOes anyone have a round about guess as to what a NIB factory sealed Atari would be worth.

Not sure of model, was asking for a coworker who just found one at his parents house.

i assume it's a 2600, and price will vary depending on what model it is. also i assume it's factory sealed. i imagine in a store/direct sale setting you could easily get a couple hundred for it. in an ebay auction, if you list it right and advertise it on atariage, etc, i imagine the price would go higher.

If it's a Heavy Sixer Ill come by with cash in hand on Friday depending on price. Just sayin'.

This.

Except for the come by on Friday with cash in hand part.

If it's not a heavy sixer, it's worth < $50.

dude, not to steal the thread, but i found a grey atari heavy sixer power supply to go along with my heavy sixer. if you're still looking for one, keep an eye out on ebay. that's where i grabbed mine.

Thanks for remembering! I finally found a complete HS on CL for $30, and it had the gray AC adapter. :)

1800 posts and you still ask vague questions like that?

Atari what?

Ill refer you back to the part of my post where I said I didnt know.

thanks for the other responses. If it is a heavy sixer Ill let you know 80's.

He is sitting behind me and said he will check it out at Christmas.

This is a heavy Sixer Atari 2600:

It will say "Made in CA" on the bottom, and have that thick bottom "border" that has a smooth rounded arc at both bottom corners.

Ask your friend if it looks like that.

If it's all black, it's nicknamed "The Vader." If it only has 4 switches on the front, it's a newer model, not much collectibility value. If it has 6 switches but sharper corners at bottom, less value, but still desired.

This is a "non" heavy sixer 6-switch:
