I got a blitz 99 board and Hard drive from ebay (two separate sellers) today.

After replacing the blitz board and drive with the '99 equivalent and rehooked everything back up I get no video and audio.

Any ideas on where to start to figure out what is going on?

Did you swap the whole board or just the chipset? Was the board working? I was watching a bunch of blitz 99 boards on ebay that were either untested or not working. If you have a working blitz board, swap the chips from the 99 to the reg blitz board.

Wait so I just need to swap the roms? My current Blitz board is working. I also have a blitz 99 HD.

Do you guys have a manual or picture of this? I don't know which roms are which. Do I literally just move the roms from the 99 board straight to the same slots on the Blitz board?

And yes I have a 99 HD I can use.

Just swap the boot (labelled U32 on the board) and the security pic (U96 on the board) You can use the same sound rom (U95) as it's identical on both boards. Pay special attention to the orientation, if you put them in backwards it will mess them up. I can post a picture if you need more help.

Thanks!

So here is a picture of the blitz 99 board I have:

So just swap those three? Also is blitz 99 just one one of those chips? As you can see, the two chips on the right both say "blitz" U95 and U96. and 1997.

Like I said you would want to swap U32 and U96 - no need to swap U95 as it's the Sound boot rom and is identical for Blitz and Blitz 99.

Edit: If this is the board you bought then you may be right and somebody tried to pull a fast one over on you and sell you a regular Blitz.

OK, it looks like I was sold just a Blitz board, opening a dispute with paypal...

If the security chip says "Blitz" and not "Blitz 99" on the eBay board then you were sold the wrong thing.

Contact the seller first before you go to filing a dispute. Give 'em the benefit of the doubt.

If you want the parts to change that board into Blitz 2000 Gold Edition, let me know I have them for sale
