I had to replace the med. rez monitor in this game, as it was blown out by the former owner. The replacement is a working standard rez monitor, and I thought I made the correct DIP switch adjustments, but I'm still getting this double screen. Thoughts or ideas of what to check or what causes this? Thanks

And side note, what should the levels be coming off the power supply? While pulling off the cage, my hand hit the adjustment knob and turned it a little. I'd like to double check these settings if possible.

I didn't watch the video, but judging by the YouTube image I'd say the dip is set to med Rez.

I'm on my phone and don't wanna open the video... Sorry

But I've gone thru 7 boards last month testing em on a stand Rez and saw the same thing when dips are wrong

That's what I was hoping for as well, but I just ran through all of the different switch settings again(turning off the game before each change), and still getting the same result. Here's what my switches should be set to as far as the manual reads, and here's a link to the manual download:

One thing to try is flipping the switch on and off a few times. This was recommended to me once on a Gottlieb pinball. Basically years of dust had built up in the dip switch causing it not to make contact.

Worth a shot.

Other thought, you 100% sure the new monitor is std res?

if there is some way to see if the bank is working? if you put u8 dip 8 on the game should come up it test. Maybe you can see if that happens?

While this test was on, I went through verifying that all switches were reading.

ALSO, have you tested the monitor with a different jamma stand res board??

I don't, I'll have to get a hold of a buddy and see if I can borrow one. CEC, do you happen to know what your settings were so I can verify vs. the sheet I found?

Did I say trouble shooting a standard rez monitor? Turns out this monitor can do standard and med rez. There was a connector on the chassis to select standard or med rez, plugged into the med rez port and she came up looking beautiful. Don't know if it's a board issue on the standard rez side, I'm just happy to find out that the monitor I bought as a standard rez, turns out to be med rez ready :)

All this from a simple idea by a buddy who stopped over for a few minutes, what a trooper. I saw this option before, but left it alone as I was told this is a standard rez monitor. So long story short, it wasn't a dipswitch problem(switches are set to med rez currently), it was a selection on the monitor chassis itself. Not sure on what chassis this is without pulling the monitor back out, maybe someone else can recognize it?

Thats great news! It looks nice in medium rez.

I bought a few of those monitors from a place in LA. Some people reported the tubes had convergence inssues. It was a big cluster for some members here. Hopefully yours is good. I did not have problems with the ones I got.

I'm knocking on wood, it handles fine so far. The screen pulsates if there's any kind of flashing effect in the game. Not bad, but it's there if you're looking for it.

I'm just happy it was something simple, now I'm back to one side of fully working games :D
