Ok, so I will start this off by saying I understand completely if you are hesitant to buy a raffle ticket from someone you don't know, I think the same way, but I just thought I'd post this up here if anyone is interested.
I was thinking about selling my 4-player NFL Blitz '99 and mentioned it to a friend of mine who owns a bar. We then came up with an idea, rather than going through craigslist, etc. we are going to raffle it off at his bar, with the drawing during the Super Bowl (Feb. 7th I believe is the date). That way if all goes well, the bar gets some people to watch the game there in anticipation of winning a raffle, I get paid for my arcade game, and one lucky winner goes home with a working arcade game for $20. Everybody wins. So anyway, here are the details.
Tickets are being sold for $20 each from now until the drawing (which will be during halftime of the super bowl...as long as a minimum of 25 tickets are sold by then, if not the drawing will be postponed until 25 tickets have been sold). The bar hosting the raffle is called Finnegan's Grill in Thornwood, NY, feel free to google them to see it's a real place. There is nothing on the site about the raffle yet because we came up with the idea a few days ago, I am going to try to get him to update the website, though he is sometimes sluggish with updating the website. My brother bartends there a few nights a week so we know the owner pretty well, which is how we are setting up this raffle.
They are currently selling tickets at the bar (if you happen to live in the area you can just go in and buy as many as you'd like). I would also be happy to purchase tickets on anyone's behalf (you can paypal me the money, I can mail you your stubb, or take a picture of it or however makes you feel the most comfortable. I can maybe take a video of myself purchasing it, and with your name/info being written on the ticket, you let me know how to go about it...). I can promise everyone that the drawing will be legitimate and I can take a video of the drawing too if you would like.
I just figure even if you don't live in the area, if you were to win a game for $20 it may be worth the added expense for transporting it/having it delivered. In any case, I wanted to let people on here know about the raffle in case you're interested.
The game is fully working, I haven't experienced any issues with it since I bought it a few months ago. I bought it hoping to convert it to an NBA Jam, and only realized that Blitz uses 49-way joysticks after bringing it home, lol. That is the reason I decided I didn't need it. The cab is in great shape. It's a 4-player cab with 2 coin slots (it is set up so the credits can be used by any player).
Attached is a copy of the flyer posted at the bar about the raffle and a picture of the game. I can take more pictures if needed.
Thank you and just pm me if you are interested in buying a ticket or if you have any questions. Good luck!
