Howdy! Anyone have a picture of the pinout diagram for the nfl blitz 99 4 player board kit? I'm hooking up 8 way joysticks from a converted Buck Hunter cabinet and I wanna make sure I wire it right. I saw pdfs for original blitz and the blitz/showtime combo, but not just standard 4 player nfl 99 blitz. Thanks!

For players 3 and 4, the pinout is the same as NBA Jam and Blitz/Showtime 8 ways. Just dont hook up the 5v pin as you don't need it for the 8 ways. Here is a link with most of the 3/4 player harness pinouts.

For players 1/2: Pin 22 is tackle, 23 is pass change player, 24 is Turbo on the jamma harness.

I run Blitz 99 in my NBA Jam cab on a switcher.

Awesome, thanks, I saw that chart awhile ago, it didn't click at the time that was what I needed for info! Thanks for that!

If the control panel has ground via players one and two on the jamma harness, do players 3 and 4 need the ground if all the ground to the microswitches are connected to each other? If I recall correctly, the nba jam 3 and 4 player console harness doesn't have a ground wire on the connectors.

Personally, I use pin 1 on the 3/4 player harnesses for ground to players 3 and 4. I would assume grounding them to jamma would be ok.

Thanks for everyone's help. Just wanted to give a follow-up. I got it wired up and working. Unfortunately when I do a diagnostic switch test, it's showing the P4 jump button always triggered without anything hooked up to the player 3 or 4 ports. All the other switches work fine. So you can play players 1 - 3, but you can't press start on player 4 because the pcb is thinking the p4 jump button is constantly depressed. I looked over the board and used a multimeter the best I can and it seems whatever is wrong isn't obvious to me. So I'm going to get another board and save the other one for a rainy day.
