I picked up this Root Beer Tapper cabinet over the weekend. It has been converted but my goal is to restore it back to a Root Beer Tapper again. Overall, the cabinet and sideart appear to be in above average condition. The Tapper harness and factory tags are still inside the cabinet.
I'm going to need a bezel, marquee, tapper handles and the PCB. (if you have any parts, let me know!) I understand it will take some time to track down all the pieces for a restoration but it should be a fun project. I could not pass on the opportunity.
It appears the back door was covered in vinyl rather than being painted...similar to the Atari Centipede cocktail bases. I wonder if that was done at the factory? Can anyone confirm that is accurate or did they snag a Pacman back door?
The Bally sideart is coming off...any tips for removing it without damaging the Root Beer Tapper sideart?
Thanks for taking a look....I'm really excited about the potential of this cabinet!!
