My k4900 blew the flyback the other day.
fortunately for me, I recently recapped a k4900 so I am ready
to move one chassis to the other tube.

So before doing so I plug in the other monitor just to make sure it is working before I do the chassis swap.

plug here in, nice pic,(good job on hte cap kit) then after being on for 5 seconds
the monitor collapses horizontally and just a big line down the middle.

turn her off and back on, same thing, great pic, then 5 seconds later, collapse to the single line down the middle.

I am going to go try adjusting the knobs for a few minutes, but just wondering if this is a bigger problem and it sounds familiar to anyone.

I was thinking that too. but I did some adjusting and it has been good since.

on for 1/2 hour now. just turned some knobs. :O)

now with that being said.........
when I go to swap chassis, it will be easy to do a quick solder joint check, and reflow anything even
remotely suspect.

thanks bud

and to further illustrate by dokert is dokert and I am me.

I go back out after I shut her off, and the same thing happened.

I found the culprit though. I will be reflowing solder tomorrow.

thanks d

thanks to dokert's guidance I got the cold solder joints taken care of and it works great now.
