Last night before bed I decided to check Craigslist on my phone. I came upon an ad that had just been posted that night for 4 arcade machines. I thought "Ah. That's not bad. I'll deal with it in the morning.." I was soooo tired that I didn't fully realize that what I was looking at was such a good deal as the GF had me moving furniture for her whole darn apartment complex (or at least it seemed that way) earlier in the day. Then I passed right the F*@# out...

So, today I went back and looked at the ad. In a clearer head I immediately contacted my toady (j/k), Tbbk. After arranging the pickup with the seller, I had Tbbk pick up the follow machines for me while I'm at work:

~Tempest U/R
~Gorf U/R
~Basconian U/R
~Poker Cabaret

All are in great condition. The poker works but after 10 hands of play, it apparently locks up. The other 3 are complete with schematics & manuals but do not power on.

How much did I pay for all of these? Only $500 bucks!

I will let him post the pics as the ad has been deleted and he's the only one who can take them atm. I was just excited enough that I couldn't wait :D.

My biggest surprise was that they were still available. The seller said someone contacted him last night about coming to pick them up tonight but they hadn't called him this morning like they said they would. Well...sorry for them, yay for me!!!

I saw those too, but didn't have room. Plus it was a pretty far drive. Hopefully you stopped in Breese on the way and got some Ski!

Picked these up today, still ended up taking all freaking day even though it was only 75 miles away. By the time I was done doing this pickup and unload solo I felt like I had just run several miles after being beaten up.

My cut for the pickup was pickup expenses, the poker machine, and another 33 percent of the Great 1000 Mile Rally game that is already in my basement (66 percent total now). Hee, hee. I should have held out and demanded the Bosconian!

Only snapped these 2 pictures, a storm was rolling in fast as I unloaded them at the storage place, and there isn't much light inside the storage unit.

All the games are in really nice shape. Guy got them from a relative who ran a small route back in the early 80s. The poker machine is actually a 1982 unit apparently (I had figured it would be much newer), there was a folder of paperwork that came with it, along with the ever present undocumented credit knock off switch on the back (or in this case, 2 wires poking out of a hole).

I am very happy with the pick up. All of the machines at 8's and complete. I can't wait to get them working correctly.

Anyway, after much frustration I managed to upload some better pics. Enjoy!

I wish it wasn't a 20 hour round trip to get there. I'd come steal that Bosco. :|

Tell me about it. When Lanky first approached be about the deal, I said, fine, I will go get them, but I get Bosconian. Settled for the Poker machine, expenses, etc. But damn that is a sweet machine, and I just KNOW it is going to power right up once it gets proper AC power.

I had a feeling it might be you, I have seen your website, knew you had one.

Can we make that STUN Runner thing happen. That was my personal grail my first time into collecting, the one I finally got was a water damaged mess that ironically enough had like $100 worth of quarters loose inside, and played great. Miss that machine the most of any I have ever owned.

Ah yes, that guy with the STUN Runner would be me. Nice score on the other games. Good to see you are a fellow KLOV'er and local collector.

Nice load! I like the matching orange straps :) (and the games)

I would hope those arn't the crappy orange straps places like harbor freight sells. Those straps are garbage.

man, you work cheap! Nice score on the games. Bosconian was the nice pickup in the group.

Well good, then I can go straight to the source lol. I'm sure we can work out a deal on it. Don't let an opening offer deter you!

I would've been all over your stun runner when I first saw it pop up but space was an issue. That is less of a case now so here I am. :)

I too think the Bosconian was a good score. It should be the least troublesome to get going of the 3. I've got some more gorf boardsets coming so hopefully I can get that going next.

Yeah, I do work cheap. But that will all be over when either I find a job or the baby comes.

Managed to get down to the storage unit with a few tools and look the games over.

I quickly got Gorf working with what is probably the worst looking picture I have ever seen on a g07. Dim, too tall on one side, fuzzy, and it lost sync once it warmed up. Game seemed to play just fine.

Bosconian has a power supply problem at the bare minimum, only has 0.34 volts on the +5 volt line and has 15 volts on the +12 volt line.

With some connector reseats and monitor adjustments I got Tempest playing, although the picture is only an inch tall in the middle of the screen and half an inch wide.
