where there's will there's a way! kieth says i'm crazy! troy it's awesome, as you play the slots the lcd on top plays the speed racer cartoon on the screen!

Yesterday I took the wife to her doctors appt. and on the way to it.. I passed this house that had 5 or so of these sitting on stands around a tree in their front yard.. along with a bunch of other "stuff or junk".

Awesome! how does it look on the stand? I have the song stuck in my head now, thanks!! LOL!!!!!!!!!

I had a couple of these but I could never figure out how to turn the volume down.I also had to reset them every time we hit the jack pot.Long story short traded them for other games.

i thought it was a cool addition. it's very addictive, and with the interactive lcd screen it seems to get a lot of attention these last two days!

Very nice score! I've been considering picking up a Godzilla Pachislo, could you answer something for me?

I know the original intent was to use these as "gambling" machines to get around Japanese customs, so you were rewarded with balls which could be turned in for prizes or money and whatnot. I was just wondering, since you say it gets a lot of play, what's the draw to it for home use? Is there any sort of scorekeeping, or a leaderboard, or any way to track victory aside from the metal balls?

i picked up a Popeye one, and while i never play it, guests usually love it.

the popeye one uses an LCD screen for the entire faceplate, with the reels showing thru

masterfygar i think you're describing a pachinko machine. what i have is a pachislo machine, it's more a less a slot machine that allows you to stop the wheels not by chance but with skill (hence the name skill stop) it accepts and rewards winnings with tokens. people who love to gamble love it! what adds to the allure is the interactive video screen and lots of lights and sounds! i would recommend getting one if you can! and devils1982 if you want to sell your popeye let me know!

Nice! I have an older (1995) Pink Panther pachislo in the game room. Congrats on the score. I also love the Friday the 13th poster next to it. :D

Cool! I have the speed racer one too...and a Dai Yamato. To cut down on the sound level for the speed racer machiner, I put thick foam and some sound deadening material in the speaker grill. Now, it's tolerable. ;)

I did some research a while back and if you look around you can find instructions for wiring in a volume control. I bought the supplies (pots) to do it but just haven't done it yet.

Thanks for the reply... or not thanks, rather, now I have no reason to not buy several :D

listen, im not saying a pachislo machine will be the most played in your arcade. it's a cool addition. one is plenty. it mixes it up a bit. it seems people who have little intrest in arcade games seem to play the slots. it pays out, you can set it to pay out more, or less. i'm not saying you must have one, but if you come accross one and can buy it right, go for it!

I could have bought this for $75, the flea market owner wanted $300, but it didn't sell and each week he lowered the price:

It even had Japanese Tokens in it:
