Newest addition to collection Operation Thunderbolt

I pick this up yesterday and was surprise at the condition it was in. Only problem on cabinet is t molding will need to be replace as it looks like it was burned by cigarettes in a few spots and the control panel had a few marks as well. Major screen screen burn but can hardly tell when game is on. One scruff mark on the side of cabinet that is pretty small but the cabinet is nice with no fade and marquee has no fade either. We turned her on and it did not boot up the game, screen would turn on though and static in the speakers. So I figure loose connection or blown board, got it home and started to clean the connection and look for burn marks on pcb and they was all clean. Got the multimeter out and tested voltage and power supply was way out of specs on voltage. Replace it and boom working game for a really nice price. Only thing I did after that was clean for gun connector and the second gun works also. The only thing wrong with them are the recoil is a little weak. Figure the stress test will be when I get my boys tomorrow and see how well it takes some abuse :)

Mine's still not running.... I'M JEALOUS!!!
great great pickup... How much did you pay... if I may ask...

lol you will cry if you knew how much I spent. I may flip it if the kids do not play it alot. Let's say it was really cheap :) for it being non working when I pick it up and easy fix for me .

This was one of my first games.... Super fun!!!!!!! also SUPER HEAVY!!!!!!!! I remember putting the hand truck under the machine and straining to get it off the ground, not to mention picking it up to put it in the truck....(Glad I now have a box truck with a lift gate.)
Thank God all machines are not as heavy as this beast!!!! Have fun!!!!!!!

Op Thunderbolt was one of my first games too. It always got love at get togethers. It was just so damn big. I replaced the plexi on the top control panel and had it looking pretty sweet, but finally traded it for a non-working Dk jr.

I'll only shed a tear of joy for you....

I got two non-working cabs this week for $25. One was a PS and the Defender has a bootup RAM error. i think it's fixable so I can't complain about not getting good deals. The defender was 2 mins local to my house.
