Wow, I just bought my second favorite pin home with me today with the help of a friend who arranged the sale, transport, and got it through the self tests and working! I'll be attempting my first shop job on this, cleaning the plastics, cleaning & waxing the playfield. It's going to be a learning experience!
As you can see the cab is in fantastic shape. The colors are still bright and haven't faded. The playfield is excellent, just as good as the Xenon that I have. It looks like none of the plastics are broken. There is only one real problem with the machine: the original backglass is long gone and has been replaced with a faded looking translite.
Here is my plan. I've noticed at least two merchants plan on offering replacement translite based head art. What are my chances of offering to buy up a collector's old glass when these come out? Personally, I would rather have a serviceable, but not perfect, original over a reproduction.
