Monitor was working. Caps were original and starting to bulge. Original flyback was working fine, but the plastic was cracking near the knobs.
Did a capkit and replaced the flyback. Worked for maybe 3- 6 months until one day the room was full of smoke and the monitor was shut off. Opened the rear of the cabinet and there was white crap blasted all over the rear of the tube and top of cabinet. Looks like the flyback exploded. Main fuse is blown also.
Game is in an arcade so it is being run for about 14 hours a day. Is that too much for replacement flybacks?
Bought a replacement chassis from a KLOVer. It's been running for almost a year now.
