Hey, I'm new with this stuff, so bear with me please.

I picked up a 25K7194 monitor (worked when pulled about 6 months ago). I ordered a tested isolation transformer rated for 1A (part P-226A), is that generally a safe margin for a 25" monitor? If the K7000 manual says, I missed it.

Remote adjustment board - is it optional? The 13-pin connector for it is there, on the end of some long wires. But there are 6 pots on the back of the board already. I just want to be sure I'll have everything I need.

Some version have some pots on the board and some on the remote board. Others will have them all on the board. If you need a remote board and don't have it, it will not function.

If your not sure, post a pic of your chassis and we can tell you...

Here are a couple of pictures. What I didn't understand is why there there are 6 pots on the board, but it looks like the (missing) remote board uses the same 6 pots? I didn't think you could adjust the same setting from both places. The board has P538 on it.

Ok, first off, that pic isn't very helpful because it doesn't show where the wires attach to the main board.

BUT - the 6 pots you see therein the 2nd pic are on the neckboard, and are for color adjustments. The smidgen of main chassis I see below seems to show the wires for the remote board, so I'd say YES, you need a remote board.

I think you can buy one from www.arcadecup.com

you managed to block with both pictures, the rear right area with the curled up blue wires...that we need to see. try again to get the chassis, not the neck board.

looks just like my K7171, except where the adjustment pots are at on mine, yours has a bunch of empty holes. :)

you need a remote board then, yes.

p538= 25" chassis so your good there..

on the back of the chassis, there should be silk screened spots for vertical hold, blk level, vertical height etc etc

are there just wires there or pots and wires?

im thinking you are seeing the coilor pots on the neckboard and thinking those are all you need.. if so, your wrong lol.. youll need a remote adjustment board.

guys here have em, also chad at www.arcadecup.com sells new ones...

go to his parts section, scroll down.. you need a P632 aka P802 New remote for k7000 19" & 25" monitors boards

i think its liek $18 or 20 bucks

i guess its possible somebody ditched the remote board and went through the trouble to add pots back on the to the chassis itself, id have to see a better pic of the back of the chassis to tell you for sure.

EDIT: giess i need to read the post fully before i put my 2 cents in.. mod beat me to it a long time ago heh..

Ah, I see now. I didn't look close enough to see on the neckboard where it says RED, RED DRIVE, etc.

On the chassis where it's labeled for h pos, h hold, etc., it is just wired to the connector. Looks like I'm getting a remote board, then. Thanks everyone for the help.
