Hi guys, newbie here.

I recently purchased a double play I want to convert it to a jamma cab for easier game swaps. I have power but when I power up the screen is scrambled. I cant make out anything. I connected both negative H+V together and tied it together with the sync on the jamma board. Im trying to use a CPS2.

Any help would be appreciated

You're not getting sync. You may need to adjust the H-FREQ pot. If you can't get it to lock sync then verify your wiring is correct.

The 6 pin header from left to right looking at the chassis should be

Empty-Empty-Gnd-Blue-Green-Red

The 3 pin header from left to right

Sync-Sync-Empty/Gnd

if that go7 is original and never been rebuilt it may not have the sync mod done to it which could affect it trying to sync with a newer board. check the items on the previous post also.

Thanks for the reply guys

I'm 99% sure I wired it correctly. The 1% is because of the sync wiring. I combined the H + V wire coming from the monitor and connected it to the single sync to the jamma. Did not know about the H sync pot so I'll try it tonight after work. Hopefully that fixes the issue.

It was working perfect with the original game Double Play so fingers crossed

Just remember not to adjust the pots on this chassis, including H-FREQ, with a metal screwdriver. You must use something non-conductive like plastic. Good luck.
