Newb question - Can a RFM monitor be used in a galaxian?

I have the old 19 in monitor from my revenge from mars and I have a galaxian that could use a new monitor. Can I use the RFM monitor in my galaxian?

My apologies if ths s a really dumb question. I'm mostly a pinball guy new to arcades and monitors.

It should work. The RFM and SWE1 monitors were typically K7203's, I believe, which were standard-resolution monitors. If so, they'll work in the Galaxian just fine.

If you have a different monitor than a K7203, then I'd have to know what model it was before I could answer...

It might be a K7302, which is still a standard resolution monitor.

A better question would be - what happened to the RFM that the monitor came from?

RFMs were also shipped with Ducksan monitors. If you have one of those vs. the Wells, it still can be used, but the RGB input connector is not a standard variety. You'll need an adapter to get the input from the Galaxian into the display.

You'll also probably need to swap the frame to get it to fit in the Galaxian cab.

If you have a Ducksan I will trade you or buy it from you, need one for my RFM or need to figure out how to fix mine :)

Sorry, not a Ducksan. And I am in SoCal. Have you thought about going down the NuCore/LCD path? That's what I did to mine and I love it.

Darn, I did think about nucore when my computer was not working but now the machine is fully functioning minus the monitor that has no neck glow and I replaced caps on the monitor board and still nothing. I need to get some more info on testing the monitor and figure out the problem
