Hey guys, I joined a couple months ago when i had to research a Zaxxon Game. I did not have any games until this weekend though. I picked up the Zaxxon and a Stargate Cocktail. I drove 3 hours to Long Island NY and met up with Nick and Troy. (I think they are kerri369 and killer6969) on here. I was accompanied on the trip by "bungy" -a long time friend of mine. It was truly an adventure, as we spent the entire day with those guys. We checked out their arcades (over 20 in one and over 40 in the other -yikes!!!!) They spoke very highly of the community you guys have on here and said that you guys are a WEALTH of information and help. I will thank you guys in advance, as I am sure that I will need some help at some point in time. Luckily, bungy is a really good friend of mine and is an absolute genius.

Like I said, thanks in advance. I am looking forward to chatting with you guys and building up a nice collection. I was never much of a video game guy, but I love these things for nostalgic purposes and think they will be great conversation pieces and great fun to play here and there.

By the way, I built a 1981 Mongoose Supergoose for Nick and traded it even up for the Stargate cocktail. I am a huge BMX collector, so let me know if any of you old-school bike guys ever need anything. Here is a pic of the bike and the Stargate..... Sorry for the enormous pics!

Nice toys for sure.

I've been looking for an RL-20 II frame and fork, but lordy, they still seem to be expensive... :(

I think you got the better end of that deal, but I am not a BMX buff. I did have a sweeeeeet Cycle Pro "Macho" BITD, though. Never heard of them before or since, but I rode that baby for 6 years.

Welcome man! I was never a BMXer but BITD I did strip my Huffy and bought a Red Line sticker kit for it. Definition of a poser, right? ;)

Man I had a chrome mongoose like that in 1981! thats badass - I actually saved up enough to buy a HUTCH with redline cranks and z rims - it was badass - then I moevd to detroit and ended up trading the bike for a huge comic collection :p - should have kept the hutch

hey now! this guys alllllright! couldn't be happier with the bike. this is the one i used to ride and race around in some 30 years ago. and trust me the pictures don't do it justice! i'm thinking of selling a lot of my collection to buy more vintage bmx bikes! another expensive hobby!

Not really BMX, but MAN I wanted a Hutch Trickstar so bad when I was a kid.

Pic is not mine...wish it was.

Interesting. I raced a Hutch pro racer BITD ('82,'83). It was entirely Hutch parts except for a set of Redline Flight Cranks. I was on a wait list for the Hutch Cranks for a year before I gave up. I got rid of it about 10 years ago. Biggest mistake I could have made. Now my son (9) is into it and we both race on Haro's.

That cocktail is quite nice, and that bike is seriously sweet. Supergooses are absolutely classic. I always wanted a Hutch and have looked for one on many occasions. I almost bought a PK Ripper cruiser last year but passed on it, maybe this summer. I love trades where both people get something they really want.

Here are SOME of my bikes. I just got a 1984 GHP Pro Long Frame and Fork that is not posted yet. I have a 1985 Hutch Trick Star, 1979/80 PK Ripper Looptail, 1983 Vector Mark 2 that is NOS, a 1984 GHP Pro Long, and a bunch of others that are not done yet. Anyone into these old bikes has got to check out bmxmuseum.com. I just sold the JMC, the Thruster, and 24k gold Trick Star. My current Trick Star is Candy Red over show chrome and looks like a Christmas ball. It is absolutely painful to look at. It also has black z-rims with bullseye hubs and redline flight 401 cranks. You guys holla at me if you are ever looking for anything or want any advice. I am best friends with the world's foremost authority on BMX restoration. Here is the link to pics of my stuff on there......

BMX and arcades - as a kid it was a match made in heaven.

Here's my 2-wheeled herd.

I'm diggin the Goose. Seems a fair trade.

Sweet Powerlite, RM. I raced a Powerlite Pro in 1983/1984. That is an awesome collection you have there. I am looking forward to getting some builds finished and displaying them in what will someday be my arcade. I need to build my collection up. 2 games hardly makes an arcade!

... 2 games hardly makes an arcade!

Somehow, it was 'officially' decided on here that an arcade was 4 or more. :D

So do you have any connections for a decent-priced RL-20 II F/F by any chance? :)
