New YouTube channel: Overtime Arcade

I watched one of your videos last night. It seemed like there was a commercial every minute, far more than usual. It was maddening. Is this something you can adjust, or does YouTube just decide on this based on whatever algorithm?

Once you install a Winslow grill, you never install anything else. Especially not a sub-standard AS substitute. :big_boss:

First of all, I've got a repro grill from @Winslow on my Joust cab and another ready for the Defender I'm restoring. His stuff is indeed top notch!

Second of all, this JROK multi-Williams project is for a customer who is trying to keep things budget-friendly. Since we're not going for an authentic dedicated cab restoration here, I figured using a speaker with a built-in grill (for the same price as one without from AS) was a reasonable choice.

Third of all, any more sass and I'll move the Battlezone cabaret even FARTHER down the project queue! 😂

Please don't, Mr Charlie, the BZ needs some sweet luvin' - before the end of the year. :)

Or just play on the 2600. LOL (which is pretty good even if not a vector)

I've seen the ones sold here (Winslow?), and assumed the AS versions were the same. Are they not as nice?

Both of mine are original and unbroken, but the originals are cheap, floppy plastic that rattle when the speaker is loud. So I've considered upgrading them.

Edit: Winslow said he sold a bunch to AS. So I must have misunderstood the post above, and it was about the tiny speaker/grille from AS, not the full panel grille.

We're talking about two different things:
1. Winslow's reproduction speaker grills, which look exactly like the originals except they're made of metal instead of brittle plastic. These are awesome and cover the entire speaker panel. He sells them directly and they're also available through Arcadeshop.
2. For this JROK multi-Williams project, the entire speaker panel was missing so I had to build a new one from some plywood. Instead of using one of Winslow's speaker grills, I bought a speaker from Arcadeshop that has a small grill built right into it. This means the wood of the speaker panel is exposed, but the built-in grill protects the speaker itself inside the speaker hole.

I couldn't take my eyes off of the BattleZone cabaret sitting there with the box on it and the paint tray hanging off of the side. LOL
