Lo all!

Im in Manhattan for the week for work, but I figured during my down time I'd try to find some cool arcades to go to. I've heard about one called Video Game Land.... near the civic center.

Anyone have any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

The best place to go is Barcade in Brooklyn. I live on the block and am there all the time.

Here's their web site: barcadebrooklyn.com.
Here's a list of game they have: http://www.aurcade.com/locations/view.aspx?id=28.

It's really easy to get to from the city as well. Just get on the L train and get off at the Lorimer stop. It's only a couple of blocks away on Union Ave.

I like your game selection. That being said, I would go to Chinatown. Those guys are insane when it comes to any neo geo stuff especially fighting games. They are one Mott Street at the intersection of bowery.

If you want fighting games (looking at your game list i'm guessing you're not averse to the idea :)), check out Chinatown Fair:

A friend who was living in brooklyn and just moved to london went there a couple times...if you can deal with dark, gritty and the occasional potentially shady character, you'll love the place.

So I went to Chinatown Fair last night. F'in amazing. Couldn't play too much since the lines for sf4 and tekken 6 were horrendous, but I did get my butt handed to me in some KOF and some fighting games I had never heard of. It wasn't too gritty, lots of light, just a little to hot.

I kept one of their awesome tokens.

Tonight I'm going to try and hit the Barcade.

Glad CF was a hit, what do the tokens look like?

They had their own tokens made. there's a dragon on one side.

Place got cleanned up when the owner finally hired some teenage kids to do his work. The owner of the building wanted to raise rent and he said he would leave if that's the case. The owner put up a for rent sign but no takers. So he's still here.
