I have experimented with different paints and ways of spraying black for all kinds of different parts but recently discovered my new way.
Rustoleum Appliance paint.

Takes maybe a little longer to dry, but followed up with clear, it is unbelievably shiny. Very hard, durable coat, extremely shiny.

Thought i would share, its the new cool way, be the first on your block, impress your friends, be the envy of all mankind

Im not kiddin, it makes sanded wood as shiny as my wifes black Honda Accord, its really amazing. When dry, it is very hard, even hard to scratch, much like automotive paint

Ive mentioned this before, and have used it in a few of SuperGunGurus projects...(see his simpsons restore thread) and yes that stuff is AWESOME!

I was introduced to it at my job (tech for Chuck E Cheese) and it holds up well even in that type of environment. They also make white, and a "stainless steel" one...
