New to the hobby and need buying advice....

Just make sure you really enjoy all those games, because they're going to be taking up a lot of space and may not be as easy to resell as many people think.

I have been notoriously cheap when I buy games, but I am starting to change my opinion on that a bit. I think it is worth paying a bit extra for a better condition game. A lot of the work that needs to be done on cheap games is just menial labor, and I am not really fond of doing it anymore.

That price seems high to me, but it is not out of line. If all you have to do is take them home and plug them in, I think you will have a very enjoyable introduction to the hobby.

+1. Get these working games, learn about them while you play them and pick up a project game or two later.

Is 2k too much? Hmm What is your time worth?

If you love all the games and love playing them then pull the trigger. Instance arcade room and you can have fun enjoying playing your games.

Some guys enjoy searching out and finding a great deal on games.
Some guys get a Kick out of repairing a game and restoring it.
Some guys just enjoy spending time playing thier games.
So the question is what kind of guy are you?

If your buying them for an investment? There are a lot of easies ways of making money than investing in an arcade machine.

What kind of support for your machine will you get? Paying a little extra is sometime not a bad thing if you have a go to guy in your corner to answer all your technical problems.

Sometime you can't tell if there is a burn screen issues unless the screen is off and you can take a good look at it under a good set of lights.

Has the monitors been recapped (a Process of replicating capacitor in the monitor to extend the life of a working monitor).

All the games look in very nice condition. If you bought your games seperatly from different people, How much time will it take to get to this size of a collection and in this condition? Is it worth the 200 or 300 you might be saving? There is something to be said Hey I got all my games I love and now I going to have fun playing with them.

By the way welcome to the forum and have fun. There are some really nice folks here.
