I just got a DK Jr machine that has a non-Sanyo WG monitor in it. It is also oriented incorrectly. It's pitch is too high for a real DK Jr. My goal is to try to keep this monitor but my question is can I orient it correctly with the same pitch that DK Jr has and still be able to close the back door? In other words my current orientation is too upright it needs to slide down a bit to be correct. I don't want to go down trying it first only to learn it can't be done.

If I were to put a Sanyo back in it is there a way for that 100 V monitor to run using 120 V? Is there some sort of adapter for this?

Thanks

Mike Martin

Reason: It was a load of horse &*^. Someone had hacked a bunch of stuff together there were wires simply twisted together. I'd like to return it original and at the same time run a ArcadeSD board in there. My goal (much like my old 67 VW) is to keep the guts stock so that someday when I really just want a DKJ I can go back easily. That's the reason for the Sanyo 120 V question. If I can get the monitor in its proper location and close the door then I'll keep what I have in there and get a Sanyo for later when I want an all original DKJ. I hope I'm making sense to someone other than me. I just can't explain it all that well in text. I already know that I'll need to change the PS to a switcher and run a Jamma harness. I'm planning on keeping the original parts.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks

The monitor is still in the game. But it looks like if oriented correctly that the backdoor would no longer be able to be closed. I could be wrong. I'll check on the WG model number now.

Thanks

The high pitch is likely due to the WG not fitting.

The original Nintendo PP7B power supply has a 100v plug that the Sanyo plugs into. I would take everything back to original. Much less hassle in the long run. You'll need to get a color inverter to run any non-Nintendo games but that's a simple thing.
