I just picked up a vs. Super Mario Bros. I turned it on and the screen is all scrambled. After adjust some knobs etc I get a clear picture (and clear audio if this makes a difference). The only way I can get everything on the screen is when the screen size is centered, but only 1/3rd the size of the monitor. If I start adjusting more, the bottoms goes upside down or the top disappears. Any help?

Kinda sounds like you are describing foldover. Which would mean you would need to do a cap kit. If you can post a pic it would help determine your actual issue.

Monitor Pic

See how it is all small? This is the only setting I can do before it "folds over"
Re-cap or PCB issue?

Thanks!

Yeah, that's foldover for sure.
Recap with a deluxe cap kit from Bob Roberts or equivalent.
C407 is the foldover culprit (and sometimes C406)
Regardless, do a cap kit and you should be good.
It might not be a bad idea to replace the pots as well,
(since your in there anyway)

Thanks!

Thank you.
The monitor has
Sanyo
M2B195250
510UTB22
on the back

Is this the normal Sanyo 20EZ? Or something else?

Here's what you need bud,

Bob's parts page http://www.homearcade.org/BBBB/parts.html
Bob's cap kit page http://www.homearcade.org/BBBB/caps.html

Your specific cap kit:
20EZ 19" - Deluxe Kit [Plus & Audio Bd Kit] $12.00

If your gonna do the pots: (probably not necessary but not a bad idea)

20EZ Replacement Pot Kit (5) $10.00
20EZ Replacement B+ Pot $1.00

If you have never ordered from Bob before, he does things a bit different,
You will first need to contact him via email with an order list and your ship to address. He will return your email with a shipped price. You will then need to mail him a check or money order the next day for the total. He does not accept Paypal or credit cards.
