New Stern Pin *BIG BUCK HUNTER*

I actually think it looks pretty cool. I wonder if that test location is "Gameworks" which is right down the street from me.....

Coming soon to EVERY FRICKIN' WAL-MART IN AMERICA.

While that makes me sad on a personal level (fuck BBH and fuck WM ;) ) - if that WERE to happen, it could be very good for Stern.

Unfortunately, I can't imagine the operators who run Wal-Mart's games are going to give a pinball the cleaning and attention it needs...it's so much easier for them to put a vid version of BBH in a Wal-Mart, leave it alone, and let it make money.

eh.. looks pretty lame to me...

now if there was a motorized shotgun in there that you could blast deer with using your flipper......... yeeeeeeehawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

It'd be great if they had pinballs and cabinets in Wal-mart. All I've seen in the past few years have been crane and soda machines. Oh and Redbox.

Why, as stated in the article, is Stern moving toward less complex and more open playfields? I think those kinds of games can be boring to the casual player. I'm not much of a pinball player, even though I absolutely love pinball and own three machines, so maybe I'm missing something. I like a playfield with a lot to it, not one that's completely open in the bottom 50%.
Just my opinion, and like I said, I'm not a great player.

I think it's an excuse to cut costs, personally.

The past two weekends I've had some pinball parties and Twilight Zone has been the consensus favorite game by the visitors. These are less than casual pinball players, they simply do not play pinball unless they're in my home. Can you get much more complicated than Twilight Zone?!

If they can simplify rules without sacrificing some flash, I think that would work well. As it is now, NBA was way, way, way, too simple.

I'm not a big fan of the theme...so many options to choose from. Big Buck Hunter? Seriously?

Yeah, but would it get the same attention from the casual players if they had to plunk down 50 cents a go? Complicated pins can be very intimidating to people who don't know what they are doing.

Coming soon: Guitar Hero - The Pinball Experience

How about an ORIGINAL THOUGHT Stern?

Or at least a cool license.

It would have been nice to see something like a District 9 pin. And I'm still waiting on a zombie-themed (licensed property or not) table.

C'mon, Stern!

Overall I'm not crazy about the look of the playfield, looks more like one of the 'home version' pins from the 80's like . I like the moving deer, something active to shoot at, kind of like Drac on MB.
What's with the red insert between the flippers on the deer, looks like I'm shooting at Rudolph, is this a fricken redneck Christmas pin? Isn't that the cow from Williams pins?

Nice theme, but "flashers" on the slingshots is not a good idea with the flippers so close. Those belong further up a playfield in my opinion, not where they can blind you as your flipping the pinball in gameplay. Playfield could be alot better, like I said nice theme but could have been alot better design, it will get sales from the Hunter enthusiast's out there, but regular pinheads will over look this title. If your gonna make a nice themed pin do it right or dont bother producing these machines!
