New sign for the basement

Was at an antique store yesterday and came across this. Mostly remember playing games at arcades in the mall as a kid so thought it would be a perfect addition to the basement

he's posted some previously, but 100% agree.
there's a lot of cool basements on KLOV with arcade posters/krazy karpet/blacklighting, but this has to be one of the most unique and era-authentic. i'd start smoking again if i had a basement like that just to complete the aesthetic 😆

I'm sure you can source some niccotine stained drop cieling tiles from your local bowling alley to add to the aesthetic.
Yuck.

Tri-sodium phosphate does a great job of cleaning that crud off the gridwork. I did that once for a friend.
 
Did you remodel your basement to make it look 70s or is it vintage? Either way, it's frickin awesome
Actually that's how the basement was when I bought the place. All I did was add the games and stuff on the walls. Ceiling, walls and carpet were all original

If it wasn't for the LED matrix sign, you'd think that photo was early 80s.
