Damn Roadway driver wasnt careful when unloading the crate and flipped it. He didnt seem too confident in what we has doing so I had camera ready.

100 glasses busted. Arrrggghhh.

It appears I have enough to cover all preorders and some extras to sell. The only glass I may fall short on is Galaga because this crate was mostly them. I will begin a reprint on the busted glasses as soon as possible.

If for some reason I run out of Galagas for the preorders I will let you know within a day or two. I have to go through each glass and inspect them and thats gonna take awhile.

Anyone that had a special arrangement with me for delivery/pickup I will notify you no later than Friday.

Thank you

Oh that F-ing sucks.. I hope you didn't accept delivery from that guy.. I'm sure the printers are going to be real happy about this.

No I took them and noted the damage on the waybill. Plus I took a dozen pics of this guy at work, if you call it that.

How in the hell did he turn over a crate when there is a freakin' lift gate? I was expecting to see a picture of a couple of douchebags trying to heeve-hoe the bastard to the ground not a full size liftgate and some guy with a hand truck...

Man that sucks, I've been there, had a forklift go through a Ms. Pac-Man / Galaga Reunion games years ago and a restored Track and Field that fell off the truck.

Sad thing is no matter how well you pack something like that if they are careless you can still break it.

Good luck with the insurance claim, it always seems to be a long drawn out experience with freight companies, glad you got that the picture.

I'd pay for a Galaga one now, if you're going back to print more. I need one desperately.

I didn't have the money during the pre-order phase.

Did you ever stop and think that maybe YOU taking pictures of HIM made him nervous and that is the reason he dropped your crate?

Just Kidding! Man that sucks! Could you hear them breaking inside? Oh, the horror that must have been! Good thing you only "shot him" with your camera...

LOL

I was taking pics from the second story. It was pretty cold out so I was inside watching. I ran for the camera when the crate start rocking back and forth.

Who let grandpa drive the delivery truck!

And for those who don't know what various moving instruments are called, he is attempting to operate a "pallet jack"

Folks, think about the horror you feel, just looking at the pictures.

Now, imagine the horror Darin must have felt being there in person and watching it happen.

After you're done thinking about that, start thinking about the fact that Darin had over 10,000 dollars already spent in that 1 box.

ouch.

Wow that blows... "checkmark" do not use roadway for glass bezels:)
Nice crate at least. Thats reminds me I have to call fedex freight.

Be very careful when working your way through that glass. A summer job that I had was working for a bar & restaraunt supply company. They had a boxcar of glassware come in (60,000 pounds or so of glassware) and the jackhole shipping it forgot to inflate the airbag used to secure the boxes so they don't move. The insurance company paid me (through the B&R company) to go through every box and recover the usable pieces. The just before I finished the last box in the whole load, I took my glove off to scratch my nose and didn't put it back on. Sliced a chunk of my middle finger on my left hand right off. It was so sharp I didn't notice it until a few minutes later whan I noticed a lot of red ink on all the glasses I pulled out of that box. Except it wasn't red ink. Trust me, you don't want that.

WOW Darin sorry to see this.. Seems like most of these shipping companys, just dont give a shit anymore. Did they guy know how bad he fucked up??? Was he concerned about it???

The guy knew he needed a mulligan. But he is the driver so he should've known what he was doing. I just didnt get that warm fuzzy feeling when he came to my door. So I told him to load the crates in the garage while I was inside doing some work. In reality I was looking out the window the whole time from my desk and luckily the camera was nearby and I snapped a lot of pics.

I know the claim will get paid but theres more to it than that. I really do have people lined up to buy these things beyond the preorder and Im gonna be on short supply of Galaga.

Making things more challenging was that I got a bulk price on 400 glasses and only need to run another 100 to replace the damaged. I wonder if the glass supplier and my printer will be sympathetic to my plight financially and honor the 400 price for only 100.

My poor wife was in tears. More upset about it than I was. I figured it was out of my control so getting all worked up wasnt gonna repair the broken glasses.
