New road blasters problem.

My problem was on the daughter board (aka cartridge). My plan was to keep swapping eproms between my 2 boards until I found the culprit. Got lucky and hit it on the 5th or 6th chip.

Thanks everyone for your work in locating the culprit for this. Mine was that 20-pin socketed chip located between 6A and 7A on the System 1 (upright) daughter PCB (labeled 136048-1172). On the cockpit model it's located near 2D, and I can now confirm that this chip is the same for both cockpit and upright, just a different location. I'll let the before and after photos speak for themselves.

So it seems this chip along with the SLAGS might be common failure point's as I've seen quite a few members here have had the same exact problem. I wonder if these chips can be reproduced? In the meantime I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that this one doesn't fail.

Repro chips

Does anyone know of a place that sells replacement chips for Roadblasters? I have a graphics issues where the monitor konks out but the sounds and game still plays. It boots up fine, but then after a while the screen goes blue. I was going to try some of the ideas around the SLAGS chips to see if that helps..

Thanks!
