So the legendary NOICE brought me a new project this weekend. It's a little super mini cab that is a basketcase. No monitor, cp, power supply, backdoor, marquee, or even the top of the cab above the marquee It holds a 13" horizontal monitor....mounted upside down! Should be fun to play around with anyway.

Pics will come later. I'm thinking of making this T&F instead of the bartop I was planning on. That's if I can get the board working. Not sure yet though....

Here are the pictures. I had already stuck a monitor in there and wired p a switcher. It wouldn't sync up to a JAMMA board, so I have to pull it back out and see whats up.

Foam board to get a rough fit for the CP, bezel and cabinet top/marquee area.

So what do you think? 2 sticks, 7 buttons each and a trackball?

That is one damn finicky monitor! Really hard to keep it from scrolling all over the place. The colors are great though, and it looks pretty solid. The coin door donor is sitting in the shop waiting to be transplanted. Got some this plywood for the CP, but need to figure out the top and cut a back for it. At least the bezel and the marquee shouldn't be too bad though. The plexi sits right above the monitor with basically no clearance, so I can't use a plastic monitor shroud, gotta go with black cardboard.

Crap! I forgot this had a horizontal monitor, and I bought a vertical board to go in it. Oh well, guess I've got more work ahead.....

There is always converting it to Badlands as an option as well!

I held onto a Badlands for Noice for months once. It popped up at the Belleville auction and someone called him and he said get it, and somehow I ended up with it in my living room until he could come pick it up. It was really fun, I miss it.

Mount that monitor on the underside of those rails and you will probably have room for a plastic surround.

I picked up a Super Pac for noice one and he never came to get it at all lol. Ended up paying him $50 less than he spent to get it just to get the deal over with and kept it.

What the hell is that cab anyways? It looks like a Moppet that someone pasted woodgrain art over.

Probably video poker or trivia or something along those lines. Everything other than the general size of the thing is wrong for a Moppet. Actually the panel looks higher than that Candy cab, so it is probably bigger than a Moppet too.

I've got no clue what this thing started out as. My guess is some funky old game from china or something. I've hit a wall on this one trying to figure out how to mount a vertical monitor in it. I only have horizontal 13" monitor frames, and 1 with no frame at all! I've got to build some kind of frame work inside there, but the size is really odd (must be metric :D ). Too much to do....
