Sweet!. I wondered when someone would make these. I was going to try to do something in plastic to keep costs low.

Nice to see something else I have to spend money on.

These are cool. I have been thinking about going with tokens in the arcade...

Awesome. Answer a noob question? My coin mechs in my capcom and nintendo machine acceptors look a lot more complex, this one, I don't even see switches or anything. Is this just a blank metal frame and then you just throw in the little lever switch? Also, can this be used with play counters or not?

You have a picture, and which game is it?

I'm guessing these don't work well in a pay-to-play arcade, otherwise wouldn't you just end up with a bucket of lincolns?

These are designed for Home Use. These will accept pretty much anything round and thin :)

The idea being that in the home environment, you really don't need any "validation" of the coins, you just want it to work, and work every time.

Sorry if my question was a bit confusing. I've never changed out a coin mech before. The 4 on my two machines all work. :p

I was just confused as to how they would replace the mechs in the existing machine, such as...

Brown one is in Capcom cabinet, has a sticky switch that's probably easily fixable, but I like the idea of using change in the machine as a "piggy bank". :)

Other two pics are the coin mechs from my Nintendo VS. Dr. Mario.

*Edit* I wasn't questioning if they'd work at all, just curious about what exactly they're replacing and what's involved work-wise. Like I said..I'm a noooooob.

No problem. This mech will replace the first one (Capcom cab), but will NOT replace the Nintendo one.

You would unscrew the two Studs on your current mech, and screw them into the new mech in the same holes, then just plug it in where your current mech is.

Cool, I'm mainly interested in them for the Capcom cabinet anyways. Bookmarking thread until I get some more money. :)

Great product... I'd love to buy and convert to tokens aside from the fact it would take me $700+ to convert my collection.

Have you considered a trade-in discount option for standard mechs?

;)
