i have been struggling to get my first cab working, an ikari warriors that i go for 15 bucks from the thrift store. when i first got it i wired a extension cord and plugged it up to the wall and it turned on, the attract screen started and the colors were fine, but i was getting rom1 error. so i started mucking around with the board and the power supply and noticed that the power supply was giving the wrong 5v and 12v readings. and i couldnt get the old board to do anything after that.
so i buy a new ikari warriors pcb and power supply from a klover,
i took all the wires off one by one of my old power supply and changed them to the new one, i didnt mix any up.
i plugged it all up, and now it is just a purplish screen. i tried to turn the color knobs and whatnot on the back of the monitor but nothing. it just makes the monitor whine when you turn up the black level.
i have speakers connected that i know work and get no sound, no movement on the screen except for skinny verical lines.
help, what should i try?
i am getting 5v at the power supply.
how do i test what i am getting at the board? i am looking at the pinout and think its pin1 that is 5v and pin 44 that is ground, so i hook up my multimeter on DC and it reads like -0.498v?
