I've sold some vids and high end Star Wars toys to fund my newest pin: JM. I've been wanting a 1990s movie themed pin and found a very nice one a couple of hours away and picked it up on Friday. In short - the pin rocks! The theme and movie is cheesy but I love how this game is laid out and plays. It's extremely fast, the playfield is awesome, the ramps are great, the music, sound and call-outs are fantastic, and the glove is extraordinary. A very underrated pin for sure.

Cool, I love the Crazy Bob's billboard. Awesome looking playfield. Is the movie really that bad? I never saw it.

Congrats on the JM and playfield looks great! How does your cab looks as most suffer from fade in the reds and had mine not been so faded and less beat up it would have been a keeper for sure. It is a fast flowing game and definitely underrated.

I actually bought the movie Saturday for $3.95 and watched it. At first I thought it was one of the worst I've ever seen but then it grew on me and I took it for what it is -- a semi low budget sci-fi, cheesy 1990s movie. I guess it only had a budgeT of $25,000,000 and it had the feel of a John Carpenter movie.

One of the sides is pretty faded but that's very common for this game from what I've heard. I'll just hide that side with another pin.

Congrats on the JM pick up! I love mine; great game, great flow, super fast, etc. Don't forget about Midnight Madness as well. Movie does suck, but Gomez did good on this one.

Nice! I love JM. One of my favorite Gomez designs with some of the quickest ball speeds (especially when you get loop/spinner related combos going). It's one of the very few machines where the theme is cooler if you just pretend it was designed specifically for that pinball machine, as if the movie didn't happen. A lot of fun 90's era cyberpunk cheese. :)

Congrats on the pickup. This is one of the most affordable DMD pins because of the theme.

Got my father in law a really nice one that he likes alot. Has some of the fastest shots I have ever seen in a pin.

Enjoy!

Nice to see another JM fan!!

I picked mine up a few months ago, stripped the playfield and shopped the hell out of it.. Looks and plays like new. You should consider LEDs for this one, as I've installed a dozen or so and it really makes the pin pop! I've not been a fan of LEDs in the past, but they look awesome on Sci Fi pins.

Mine also has some fade on the left and front.. Very typical. Cool thing about mine was the goodie bag was still inside the cab. Came with a few nos sling plastics and other cool stuff.. JM is such an underrated pin, super affordable usually and fast as hell.

Can be a tough find

Williams didn't make a ton of these, so they don't pop up often.. But because of the flaky x/y glove many weren't on location long enough to be beaten.. The few ops I've spoken to about finding this title all had the same thing to say: JM is a pain in the ass on location! Hehe.. One guy had his at a location an hour away, guess it broke down enough that he pulled it within its first few months out of the box.. Then sold it at auction..

Seems like williams sent out a bulletin not long after with modifications for it, but it was to late for some operators.. My glove works great, makes a bit of noise even after lubrication but not bad.. Did swap in a new magnet though

Been looking for this pin a while but not luck in my area. Would like to def have this.

Looks great

Yeah, I hear the same thing just from JM home owners! :p That damned glove.

This is one of those games that I've still never played, but have heard nothing but great things about it.

Congrats on your new pickup, man!

It is a good pin plagued by a sub-par theme. If you know the movie, the theme is well implemented (in my opinion). Had the movie been a smash hit, I think the outlook of this pin would be much different.

I hate that the Keanu image and voice are not him, but that's not Williams' fault.

The game is fast. The glove toy breaks that up a bit, and can be confusing for the player not used to it and how it works, but is a cool part of the game (again, in my opinion).

I still feel that this is one of the best values in pinball, hands down.

I have to agree, this is one of the better 90's movie tie-in pins out there. My first pinball, Joust, feels like a slow ride compared to this and Tron Legacy, that's for sure! Mine came from a friend, sat in the garage then in storage and finally in the utility room. Thought I'd set it up then trade it for another 90s DMD pin.

Once I got it put together and played a couple of test games, I was hooked! The movie it came from was pretty awful, as I come from a hacking/cyberpunk background, but like a previous poster said, if I try to forget the movie existed, and take the game on its own merits, it helps. Just TRY to pry it away from me now!

just found this thread.....

and just wanted to say CONGRATS paul on the new pin@! ive always heard good things about this pin but never played one. was looking for one @ cax this last year and sadly there wasnt one to play.

love me some keanu reeves...... WILD STALLIONS!

You guys are all correct -- it's underrated and super fast. The flippers seem short too compared to my other pins in that I can't stall the ball as well. It rolls off more than usual. Anyone else have that issue?
